Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School

The Foundation aspires to give back to the community and nurture talents of the future. With this intention, donation was made to Hong Kong Baptist University to actualize its vision of building a 12-year through-train school. The Foundation has also set up financial assistance, which help unleash students’ potential and enhance competitiveness not only of the students, but of the school at large.

Funding the Construction of School

Sharing HKBU's aspiration in promoting whole-person education, the Foundation donated over HK$10 million to build “Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School” in Shatin in 2001. In support of the sustainable development of the school, the Foundation funded the construction of “Madam Wong Liu Wai Man Building” in 2014. The 6-storey building opened in January 2016 is composed of Gymnasium, Fitness Center, Sky Tracks, Black Box Theater, Visual Arts Studio & Art Gallery, Outdoor Basketball Court and various classrooms and facilities in which students can develop their talents in aesthetics and sports.

Setting up Financial Assistantship

The establishment of Wong Kam Fai Financial Assistantship in HKBU WKF School offers subsidies to students of outstanding conduct and discipline for learning-related expenses to encourage the pursuit of excellence.

Caring for the School's Development

Apart from funding school buildings, the Foundation keeps an eye on the school's development. Mr KK Wong, as a member of the School Management Committee, plays an important role in promoting the school's continuous improvement in providing an all-round education to students. Also, Mr Ivan Wong constantly attends the school's important events such as anniversary celebration and graduation ceremony to understand the current progress.
